Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bret Hicken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cesar Rincon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rincon has chosen Cypress Hill - Roll It Up, Light It Up, Smoke It Up as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cesar Rincon! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.

It looks like Cesar Rincon has been cut. Excellent takedown into side control there by Hicken. Rincon pushes Hicken away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hicken gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Hicken taking a breather here. Rincon is rocked! Hicken landing strikes. Rincon is still in real trouble! Can Hicken finish him? Hicken has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hicken cracks Rincon with a big elbow. Hicken happy to just control the position for now. Hicken cracks Rincon with an elbow. That is naaassty. Rincon takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Hicken is looking to take a break and control but Rincon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hicken lands a nice forearm strike. Rincon explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Rincon throws the left hand but Hicken avoids the punch easily. Hicken scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Hicken scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Hicken lands with a good body shot. Rincon doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Hicken ducks under a wild hook from Rincon. Hicken throws a push kick but Rincon slaps the foot to one side. Rincon takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rincon takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hicken shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hicken in particular looking to stall. Rincon taking some punishment here, with Hicken in his half guard. Hicken is controlling the pace.
Hicken has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Rincon wants to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hicken stands up over Rincon, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Rincon wants to get back to his feet but Hicken is in a dominant position and won't allow it. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Hicken is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rincon can do to turn this around? Rincon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hicken is controlling him. Hicken trying to control but Rincon is working from the bottom. Bret Hicken overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hicken stalks Rincon and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rincon's face. Rincon staggers backwards, shaken. Hicken comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Hicken jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
That has opened up Cesar Rincon's cut even more. Cesar Rincon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hicken tries to land a leg kick but Rincon saw it coming and moves away.
Rincon takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Rincon throws a jab but it's blocked by Hicken. Rincon drops his hands momentarily and Hicken takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hicken scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bret Hicken dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Cesar Rincon's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Hicken throws an overhand right that drops Rincon like a sack of potatoes! Hicken dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
