Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Osteo Sarcoma! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ben Kingston! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kingston stuffs the takedown. Excellent takedown into side control there by Kingston. Kingston is looking to take a break and control but Sarcoma is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Sarcoma is looking for a sweep. Sarcoma gets back to half guard. Sarcoma looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Kingston throwing shots but Sarcoma is blocking nicely. Kingston is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kingston shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Kingston won't allow Sarcoma to sweep him here. Sarcoma working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kingston doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kingston manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Sarcoma is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sarcoma had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kingston is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sarcoma Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kingston's back instead. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kingston is really stuck here.

Kingston looking to pass the guard. Sarcoma has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kingston can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kingston drops back looking for a leg! Sarcoma is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sarcoma manages to kick Kingston off! Kingston jumps back into Sarcoma's guard. Sarcoma had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kingston is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sarcoma really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Sarcoma takes Kingston's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Kingston is in trouble. Kingston is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Sarcoma off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Kingston trying to control the position but Sarcoma manages to sink in the hooks. Sarcoma is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Kingston is defending well though. Sarcoma let's go of the attempt for now. Kingston fending off the submission attempt from Sarcoma. This has been an exciting period of action! Kingston showing good submission defense here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kingston has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Sarcoma has got his arm under Kingston's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Kingston has spun round into Sarcoma's guard beautifully! Well done that man!
Sarcoma escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kingston gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Sarcoma manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kingston manages to get himself to full guard.
Kingston keeping full guard, as Sarcoma tries to pass. Sarcoma slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Sarcoma thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Sarcoma working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Kingston tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sarcoma wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kingston, who protects the arm well. Sarcoma has knee on belly and moves into mount. Kingston is working to get back to half guard.
Sarcoma moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Kingston has worked his arm free - good work by Kingston!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sarcoma thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sarcoma tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sarcoma has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kingston is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Osteo Sarcoma dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kingston gets a clinch. Kingston prevents a body shot from Sarcoma. Kingston manages to break the clinch.
Sarcoma throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kingston wants to clinch. Sarcoma with a lazy takedown attempt and Kingston counters with a leg kick. Kingston scores a takedown into full mount! Sarcoma regains half guard. Sarcoma moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Sarcoma looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Sarcoma has his foot on Kingston's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kingston works his way back into a safe position though. Sarcoma is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sarcoma escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kingston gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Sarcoma will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sarcoma lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kingston!
That's one minute gone in the round. Kingston tries to hold on but Sarcoma pushes him away. Sarcoma has control of Kingston's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kingston regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Sarcoma working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Kingston turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Sarcoma off and cradles Kingston's limp body as Sarcoma celebrates with his corner.
