Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sancho Pancha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lisandro Licha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Licha comes into a darkened arena with his song building. In Bloom kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sancho Pancha! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lisandro Licha! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pancha throws a series of punches but Licha avoids them all with ease. Licha connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Pancha's hands. Pancha bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Pancha feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Pancha got a little sloppy there for a moment and Licha has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pancha has managed to get both his arms back between Licha's legs - danger averted. Pancha is looking to stand up but Licha won't let him. Licha escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pancha gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Licha is looking for a triangle but Pancha pushes his legs off easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pancha loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Pancha passes easily into side control. Nice work. Pancha thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Pancha prevents Licha from escaping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Licha is not content to let Pancha control the position. Licha regains half guard. Licha looks like he's trying to stand up.
Pancha is looking for a kimura here.
Pancha seems to be working for a kimura but Licha defends the submission attempt. Pancha is breathing heavily. Licha actively working from the bottom here. Licha is trying to stand back up but Pancha is controlling him
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Pancha works his way into full mount! Pancha has hold of Licha's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Licha manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Pancha avoids the attempt from Licha to control. Licha sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Licha wants to get back to his feet. Pancha is looking for a kimura here.
Pancha wants to take a breather but Licha is having none of it.

Licha actively working from the bottom here. Pancha wants to work for an arm triangle but Licha is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Licha works over Pancha's head and body with a nice combination. Licha cracks Pancha on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Pancha falls backwards against the cage. Licha follows up with more strikes that drop Pancha to his knees. Licha keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Pancha! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lisandro Licha!
