Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hunter Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Jensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adams comes to the cage accompanied by Animal I Have Become by 3 Days Grace. Tommy Jensen told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hunter Adams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy Jensen! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Steve Montenegro and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adams shoots in for a takedown but Jensen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Adams throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jensen was covering up waiting for the punch and Adams finishes the takedown easily into guard. Adams postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jensen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Adams, into his guard. Jensen trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Adams manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Adams stands up out of Jensen's guard for a moment - Jensen manages to land a nice upkick. Adams drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jensen manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Adams has Jensen in his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Adams keeping moving, preventing Jensen from controlling successfully. Jensen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Adams lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jensen!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Adams is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Jensen has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Jensen! Jensen wants to control from the top but Adams keeps moving. Jensen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Jensen has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Adams is proving hard to escape from.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jensen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Adams has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jensen has managed to get both his arms back between Adams's legs - danger averted. Jensen wants to control from the top but Adams keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Jensen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jensen wants to clinch up but Adams keeps it at a distance. Nice sprawl there from Jensen as Adams shoots in. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jensen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Adams counters with a shoot takedown. Jensen fights it but they end up in guard. Adams postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jensen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Adams, into his guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hunter Adams dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Adams scores a takedown into full mount! Jensen wants to hold on but Adams pushes him away. Adams working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Jensen is desperately trying to improve his position but Adams has a good base and remains in mount. Adams will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Adams goes for an armbar but Jensen turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Jensen. Jensen looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jensen would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Jensen has gone for a leg lock! Adams slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jensen's guard. Adams is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Adams has gone for a leg lock! Adams closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Adams in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Jensen tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Adams!
