Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Google Bing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Maker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James Maker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Google Bing!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, James Maker!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maker lands a nice shot to the body.
Bing looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Maker shoots in but Bing avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Maker clinches up against the cage.

Maker pulls Bing into guard.
Maker trying to control the position.
Maker wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Maker wants to stand up but Bing is controlling him.

Maker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bing doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bing manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Maker is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Bing might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Bing gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Maker to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Maker trying to control the position from guard on top but Bing is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Maker is pushing down on Bing's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bing is fighting to maintain full guard but Maker has managed to sneak the leg through.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Maker is nestled in close to Bing, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Bing avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Maker.

Maker is looking for a kimura here.
Maker wants to take a breather but Bing is having none of it.
Maker thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bing's head.
Maker wants to free his trapped foot but Bing is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Bing is refusing to be controlled, as Maker sits in half guard.

Maker thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
No luck for Maker with that takedown attempt.
Maker tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bing swivels and escapes.
Google Bing has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Maker.

Maker drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Maker seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maker wants to stand but Bing is controlling his posture from full guard.

Bing trying to keep a closed guard but Maker is proving a slippery customer.
Maker would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Maker plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Bing shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Maker is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Maker controls Bing momentarily but Bing frees himself.
Maker throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Maker looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Maker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bing. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Maker keeping moving, preventing Bing from controlling successfully.
Maker is trying to keep Bing in close.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Maker might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bing kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Maker throws his legs up looking for a submission but Bing uses it to pass to side control.
Maker is trying to get back to half guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Bing shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bing was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Bing thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Maker is working to get back to half guard.
Bing throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Maker because Bing loaded up on that one.

Maker wants to control but Bing is having none of it.
Maker is trying to escape the mount.
Maker is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Maker is working to get back to half guard.
Bing sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Maker is trying to escape the mount.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bing looking to control but Maker is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Maker is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Maker is in all sorts of trouble here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Google Bing dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Maker fails to land the takedown.
Maker tries to land a front kick but Bing steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Maker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bing has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Maker digs a good body shot into Bing's ribs.

Maker scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Bing is looking for a sweep. Maker is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Bing won't allow Maker to pass to mount.
Bing trying to control but Maker postures up.
Maker tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Maker has his takedown stuffed

and Bing counters with a single leg into guard. Maker didn't expect that.
Maker thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Maker wants to sweep but no luck.
Bing throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bing trying to control the position from guard on top but Maker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bing wants to stand but Maker is controlling his posture from full guard.
Bing trying to control but Maker is working from the bottom.
Maker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Maker will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Maker misses with a takedown attempt

and Bing counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Maker!
Google Bing has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Maker.

Bing lands with some strikes.
Maker is trying to escape the mount.
Maker is squirming around, avoiding Bing's attempts to control the action.
Maker tries to lock up and control but Bing gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Maker wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Bing sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Maker avoids a series of strikes thrown by Bing.
Bing looking to control but Maker is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Bing sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Maker tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Bing cracks Maker with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Bing avoids the attempt from Maker to control.
Bing trying to control but Maker is having none of it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Google Bing showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Bing has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
