Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tony Espino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Artur Szpilka!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Szpilka shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Espino is trying to defend but Szpilka finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Espino wants to get back to his feet.
Espino is looking for a sweep. Szpilka is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Espino makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Espino.

Espino scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Szpilka shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Espino but Espino pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Szpilka shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Espino is pressing down on Szpilka's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Szpilka won't allow Espino to sweep him here.
Szpilka trying to stand up but can't free himself from Espino's guard.

Espino kicks Szpilka off and gets to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Szpilka fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Szpilka fails with a takedown attempt.
Tony Espino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Artur Szpilka.
Szpilka changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Espino tries to avoid it but Szpilka manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Espino to the ground. Espino escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Szpilka looks gassed!
Espino with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Espino lands a left and a right that send Szpilka crashing to the mat, dazed. Espino thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Szpilka is rocked!


It looks like Artur Szpilka has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Espino is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Szpilka flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Szpilka is out cold! Espino holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tony Espino!
