Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Izakawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anton Antorio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Antorio has chosen I Stand Alone as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Johnny Izakawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anton Antorio!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Izakawa moves in looking to clinch but Antorio pushes him off.

Antorio scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Izakawa makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Izakawa.

Izakawa has his foot on Antorio's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Antorio works his way back into a safe position though.

Izakawa has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Antorio off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

and Antorio counters with a nice double leg into side control. Izakawa won't be happy with that.

Izakawa is looking for a sweep.
Izakawa takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Antorio cracks Izakawa with an elbow. That is naaassty.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Antorio lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Izakawa down.

Izakawa takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Izakawa is pushing Antorio's head away, looking to escape. Antorio manages to hold on to the position though.
Antorio wants to lay and pray for a moment but Izakawa keeps working.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Izakawa is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Antorio has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Izakawa takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Antorio lands a decent elbow from side control.
You can see the frustration on Izakawa's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Antorio looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Izakawa with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Izakawa regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Antorio.
Antorio stands up over Izakawa, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Antorio is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Izakawa has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Antorio is looking to defend but Izakawa has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Antorio! Izakawa pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Antorio taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Johnny Izakawa!
