The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Szymanski avoids it really well and circles away.

Silvester Szymanski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lebron Daniels.
Szymanski shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Daniels is trying to defend but Szymanski finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Daniels fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Szymanski sprawls well initially but Daniels persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Daniels is on top in guard.
Daniels stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Szymanski has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Daniels manages to get his head free but now Szymanski has transitioned to an armbar! Daniels grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Szymanski! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
