Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Wade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Mass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Wade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thomas Mass!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jonathan Paton and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wade uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mass.
Mass moves into the clinch.
Mass stalling in the clinch.
Wade successfully pulls guard.
Wade looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mass throws and elbow that misses. Wade uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mass's guard. Nice move by Wade!
Wade stays in close to Mass's body and controls the position.
Mass throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Wade in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Mass keeping moving, preventing Wade from controlling successfully.
Wade is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Mass wants to stand but Wade is controlling the position.
Mass pushes Wade off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Mass tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mass takes the fight into the clinch.
Wade breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wade ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Mass misses with a series of wild punches.
Mass misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Mass throws out a powerful jab.
Wade slaps away a takedown attempt from Mass, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Mass looks gassed!
Mass misses with a jab, cross combination.
Wade swats away the attempt to clinch by Mass.
Wade has closed the distance and engaged Mass in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wade lands a takedown into guard.
Wade controls from within his opponent's guard.
Wade gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Mass gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Wade to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wade is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Mass throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Mass being controlled here, momentarily.

Mass wants to sweep but no luck.
Wade trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Wade cracks Mass with a solid left hand.
Wade looking to pass the guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mass looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Wade passes into half guard.
Mass on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Wade is keen to just control but Mass is a slippery customer.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Wade is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Mass is trying to maintain the position but Wade is very close to passing his half guard.
Wade is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Mass!
Wade jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Mass manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Mass is not content to let Wade control the position.
Mass throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Wade dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Mass tries to clinch
and Wade decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mass's guard.
Wade wants to pass the guard but Mass is keeping the position.
Wade passes Mass's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Wade is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Mass!
Mass has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
Wade is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Mass has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wade cracks Mass with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Mass from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
I really don't envy Mass right now.
Wade is trying to stick to Mass's back but Mass is turning into Wade. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Wade's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Mass.
Mass is posturing up here but Wade has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Mass tries to roll out but it's too tight and Mass has to tap! Slick submission there by Wade!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). James Wade!
