Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keanu Ikaika (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ikaika comes into the arena with Not Afraid blaring out of the sound system. Rodrigo Mendez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Keanu Ikaika! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rodrigo Mendez! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ikaika looks to land a combination but Mendez avoids it well. Ikaika fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ikaika swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ikaika lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mendez circles away quickly and effectively. Ikaika connects with a looping right hand.
Keanu Ikaika seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ikaika swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A left lands for Mendez. Ikaika scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Mendez doesn't seem bothered though. Mendez lands a left and a right that sends Ikaika crashing to the canvas! Mendez dives into mount looking to finish!
It looks like Keanu Ikaika has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ikaika holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Mendez tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Poor strikes thrown by Mendez there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Ikaika might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Ikaika is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Mendez throwing strikes here but Ikaika is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Ikaika is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Mendez locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Ikaika is forced to tap!
