PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kent Jenk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Milk Chocolate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kent Jenk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Milk Chocolate!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenk throws the left hand but Chocolate avoids the punch easily.
Jenk throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Chocolate looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jenk is fending him off so far but Chocolate persists. Nope, Jenk circles away and we're back to standing.
A head kick misses from Chocolate.
Chocolate throws a right and a left that both miss.
Chocolate looks for a takedown but Jenk sprawls well.
Jenk fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Chocolate manages to avoid it.
Jenk lands a jab to the nose.
Chocolate slips under a jab from Jenk.
Jenk swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Chocolate displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jenk throws out the jab.
A combination from Chocolate does no damage.
Chocolate fails with a takedown attempt.
Kent Jenk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Milk Chocolate.
Chocolate tries to clinch up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jenk throws a leg kick but Chocolate sees it coming and moves out of range.
Chocolate shoots in but no luck this time.
A left lands for Jenk.
Jenk tests Chocolate's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Chocolate doesn't manage to clinch there - Jenk circles away.

Jenk's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Jenk duly obliges.
Chocolate shoots for a takedown but Jenk saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Chocolate looks gassed!
Jenk displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chocolate.

Jenk shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jenk was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Jenk sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Jenk seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Chocolate for as long as he can get away with.
Chocolate working to try and regain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chocolate wants to hold on but Jenk pushes him away.

Chocolate trying desperately to get to his feet.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Jenk takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Jenk has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Kent Jenk just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Jenk bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Chocolate looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Good shot there by Jenk.
Chocolate moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Chocolate tries for a takedown but Jenk circles away easily
and Jenk counters with a series of strikes. Chocolate will be more careful next time no doubt.
Jenk goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Jenk lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Jenk shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jenk was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Chocolate wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Jenk controlling the pace for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kent Jenk dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


A head kick misses from Jenk.
Chocolate connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.


It looks like Kent Jenk has been cut.
Chocolate uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jenk.
Jenk lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chocolate circles away quickly and effectively.

Chocolate drops Jenk with a left right combo! Chocolate follows him down to the ground into side control.


Jenk is rocked!
Chocolate in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Oh Jenk is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jenk tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Chocolate wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Jenk seems to have got his legs back now.
Chocolate with the ground and pound but Jenk regains half guard under the barage of strikes.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Chocolate lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Chocolate thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jenk's head.

Jenk manages to get to full guard.

Jenk had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Chocolate defends it easily.
Chocolate stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jenk swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Chocolate wants to get up but he can't break Jenk's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Chocolate trying to control the position from guard on top but Jenk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jenk bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Chocolate's guard.

Jenk avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Chocolate controls Jenk momentarily but Jenk frees himself.
Jenk controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Chocolate wants to stand up but Jenk is controlling him.
Jenk stands and throws Chocolate's legs to the side, diving into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Chocolate is trying to escape the position but Jenk is controlling the position.
Chocolate tries to bench press Jenk off him but Jenk keeps the position.
Jenk controlling the position from side mount.
Chocolate is trying to buck Jenk off.
Jenk scoring with punches and elbows.
Chocolate wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Milk Chocolate showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Kent Jenk's cut.
That's time! Jenk's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Jenk swinging wildly here.
Chocolate swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Chocolate darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Kent Jenk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chocolate fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jenk avoids it really well and circles away.
Kent Jenk is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jenk misses with a hook.
Jenk connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Chocolate momentarily.
Chocolate tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Chocolate takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jenk stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jenk wants it to stay on the feet.
Chocolate avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Jenk lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Jenk shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Jenk is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Jenk landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Jenk is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Jenk content to control rather than advance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Kent Jenk just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Chocolate steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jenk.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chocolate rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jenk moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Chocolate shoots in for a takedown but Jenk shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kent Jenk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Milk Chocolate.
Chocolate takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Chocolate on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Chocolate uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jenk.

Jenk throws a jab but it's blocked by Chocolate.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jenk is defended easily by Chocolate.
Chocolate connects with a solid leg kick.
A big left from Jenk misses.
Jenk scores with a jab to the jaw.
Jenk on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Chocolate. Chocolate obviously looking to wear him down.
Chocolate wants to clinch.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jenk loads up on a big right hand but Chocolate slips the punch.
The fighters circling - Jenk throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Good exchange - Chocolate coming out on top.
Chocolate moves forwards but Jenk connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Jenk avoids the head kick by Chocolate.
A jab lands there for Jenk.
Chocolate takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Chocolate ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Chocolate shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jenk pinned against the cage. Jenk gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A jab from Jenk does it's job there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Chocolate has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Jenk throws a hook to the side of Chocolate's head but Chocolate sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kent Jenk showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Jenk has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
