Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bob Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kris Napier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Eminem-Cinderella Man. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Napier tries to land a front kick but Wilson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Wilson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Wilson with the ground and pound but Napier regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Wilson throwing shots but Napier is blocking nicely. Wilson wants to pass the guard but Napier is defending well. Wilson missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Wilson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Wilson is taking a breather. Napier says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Wilson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilson misses with a head shot. Napier uses the momentum to regain guard. Wilson passes Napier's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Napier blocking the ground and pound attempt from Wilson. Napier regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Wilson. Wilson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Wilson thows a big elbow that misses. Wilson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wilson throws a strike but Napier rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Napier wanted to stand there but Wilson had control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Napier won't allow Wilson to get back to his feet. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Wilson trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Napier trying to stand up but can't free himself from Wilson's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Napier scores with a kick to the midsection. Wilson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Napier circles away. Wilson shoots in and bounces Napier off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Wilson is stalling in the full guard. Wilson looking to pass the guard. Wilson throws a big right hand that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Wilson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Napier is keeping the position for now. Napier is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Wilson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Wilson connects with a couple of short punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Napier wants to stand and escape but Wilson is having none of it. Napier utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Wilson throwing strikes but missing. Wilson throws a strike but Napier rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Wilson has his feet on Napier's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Napier throws a head kick but Wilson moves out of range.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Wilson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Napier - the referee stops the clock and Wilson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Napier. Wilson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Napier tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wilson was well out of range. Poor timing from Napier. Napier misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kris Napier is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Napier looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Wilson blocks the body kick.
Napier bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Napier misses with a body kick. Wilson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Napier's guard. Wilson looking to pass the guard. Napier is looking to stand up but Wilson isn't so interested in that idea. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wilson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Napier throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Wilson scores with a takedown into Napier's guard. Wilson is taking a break and basically stalling. That's one minute gone in the round. Napier being controlled here momentarily. Wilson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Napier is trying to stand.
Wilson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Napier avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Wilson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilson works his way into full mount! Bob Wilson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Napier avoids a series of strikes thrown by Wilson.
Wilson thowing shots but they're missing. Wilson scoring with strikes but Napier is staying in there. Napier is bucking up trying to escape but Wilson cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Bob Wilson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Napier squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Napier blocking the ground and pound. Napier is in a horrible position here. Wilson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Napier is squirming around, avoiding Wilson's attempts to control the action. Kris Napier has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wilson sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Wilson looking to ground and pound but Napier is blocking nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! Bob Wilson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wilson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
