Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tim Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Ripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tim Dean! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Ripper! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ripper stuffs the takedown. Ripper keeps the fight on the outside. Dean tries a low kick but Ripper avoids it. Dean lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ripper circles away quickly and effectively. Dean gets the takedown into side control. Dean looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Ripper manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Dean prevents Ripper from improving his position. Ripper is trying to maintain the position but Dean is very close to passing his half guard. Ripper is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Dean really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Ripper is trying to maintain the position but Dean is very close to passing his half guard.

Dean wants to stand but Ripper is controlling his posture from full guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Ripper holds on and takes a little breather.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ripper looking for a guillotine here but Dean defends easily.
Dean wants to control from the top but Ripper keeps moving. Ripper is pulling down on Dean's head. It's preventing any offense from Dean, at least for the moment. Ripper not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ripper looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Dean blocks a head kick by Ripper.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Dean fails with a takedown attempt. Ripper rushes Dean and presses him up against the ropes. Dean breaks the clinch.

A head kick misses from Dean. Ripper has his takedown stuffed and Dean counters with a takedown into side control. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Ripper is trying to control Dean's posture but Dean avoids it. Ripper gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Dean wants to control but Ripper is keeping him busy. Dean passes the guard and advances to mount! Ripper is trying to escape the mount.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Ripper avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Dean. Ripper is staying active underneath Dean, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Ripper manages to get to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ripper preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Dean pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ripper is keeping the position for now. Ripper is trying to keep Dean in close.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Ripper misses with a double jab.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ripper looking for a sweep. Not yet Ripper, not yet. Dean tries to free his leg and advance position but Ripper is retaining full guard. Dean trying to control the position from guard on top but Ripper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ripper is trying to control the position but Dean postures up. Dean is stalling in the full guard. Ripper wants to improve his position but instead Dean has moved into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Dean is figuring out what he wants to do next. Ripper wants to improve his position but Dean is controlling well.

and Ripper counters with a left to the body. Ripper looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dean is fending him off so far but Ripper persists. Nope, Dean circles away and we're back to standing. Ripper shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dean napping and manages to drive through into side control! Ripper slows the pace down. Ripper tries to score with some ground and pound. Dean controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Dean is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Ripper working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Dean's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ripper throws an elbow but Dean slips to the side and avoids it well. Dean tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Ripper controlling well, preventing Dean from escaping the position.

Ripper is fighting to break Dean's control of his arms but Dean is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Ripper pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. That's four minutes gone in the round. Dean is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ripper is controlling him. Ripper looking to pass the guard. Ripper decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dean, up you get! Dean wants to clinch but Ripper slips to the side and Ripper counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ripper. Dean tries to break free but Ripper pushes him back against the ropes. Dean breaks the clinch.
Dean gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ripper to score an easy takedown into full guard. Dean throws his legs up looking for a submission but Ripper uses it to pass to side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Jack Ripper comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Ripper has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
