Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Franz Beckenbauer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergai Poujanofski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beckenbauer kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Apaga mas não bate . Sergai Poujanofski is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Poujanofski displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Beckenbauer.
Poujanofski throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Beckenbauer.
Poujanofski looks to land a right hand but Beckenbauer moved out of range.
Beckenbauer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Poujanofski tries to avoid it but Beckenbauer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Poujanofski to the ground. Poujanofski escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Beckenbauer is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Poujanofski is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Poujanofski has escaped and now he's on top!
Beckenbauer has his foot on Poujanofski's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Poujanofski works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Poujanofski decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Poujanofski shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Beckenbauer is trying to defend but Poujanofski finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Poujanofski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Beckenbauer is tightening it up a little... Poujanofski has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Poujanofski reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Poujanofski taps out! nice BJJ there by Beckenbauer!
