Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Nunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Wilkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nunes comes to the cage accompanied by Riverside. Pablo Nunes has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pablo Nunes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jack Wilkins! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilkins dives in and grabs Nunes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nunes pushes down on Wilkins's head and hops out. Wilkins shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nunes's guard. Nunes is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wilkins defends well. Nunes is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Nunes is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Nunes's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nunes works his way into full mount! Nunes sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Wilkins in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Nunes avoids the attempt from Wilkins to control. Nunes throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Wilkins because Nunes loaded up on that one. Nunes can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wilkins is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Wilkins is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilkins tries to hold on but Nunes pushes him away. Nunes controlling his opponent.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Pablo Nunes just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Wilkins fails with a takedown attempt. Wilkins shoots for a takedown but Nunes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Pablo Nunes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Wilkins. Left hook, right uppercut from Nunes. Wilkins drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wilkins swings around for an armbar but Nunes sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Wilkins's guard. Nunes trying to control the position from guard on top but Wilkins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wilkins preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Nunes has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Wilkins wants to sweep but no luck. Wilkins is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Wilkins keeping moving, preventing Nunes from controlling successfully. Nunes's corner is telling him to maintain position. Nunes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wilkins tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nunes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wilkins somewhat. Wilkins slips under a jab from Nunes. Nunes fails to land with a series of punches.

Nunes clinches up with Wilkins and pushes him back against the cage. Nunes stalling the fight.
Wilkins has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Nunes avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Wilkins is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Pablo Nunes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Wilkins.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilkins is working for takedown but Nunes is calmly controlling the position for now. Wilkins tries to score a body lock takedown but Nunes shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Nunes is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Wilkins gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Wilkins has Nunes pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Nunes manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Wilkins has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Nunes is trying to keep an underhook but Wilkins manages to get the takedown into half guard. Wilkins is breathing heavily. Nunes gets back to full guard.
Wilkins has gone for a leg lock! Nunes slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wilkins's guard. Nunes stands up and waves to Wilkins to follow him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nunes fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Wilkins swats away the attempt to clinch by Nunes. Wilkins fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nunes avoids it really well and circles away. Nunes fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wilkins shoots in but Nunes avoids the takedown attempt easily. Wilkins fails with a takedown attempt. Nunes misses with a double jab.
Wilkins looks for a takedown but Nunes sprawls well. Nunes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Wilkins misses with a takedown attempt - Nunes sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Wilkins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nunes tries to avoid it but Wilkins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nunes to the ground. Nunes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nunes fails to land with a series of punches.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Wilkins. Nunes misses with a few strikes there.
Wilkins fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nunes sprawls well initially but Wilkins persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nunes wants to get back to full guard. Wilkins has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Nunes defend it? Wilkins steps over the head and cranks it - Nunes is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Wilkins!
