Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Matrix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dom Serrano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matrix is trying hard to land a takedown here. Serrano sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Excellent takedown into side control there by Serrano. Matrix struggling a bit here. Matrix is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Serrano is controlling him well. Serrano stands up. Serrano throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Matrix stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Matrix attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Serrano dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Serrano tries to clinch up. Serrano fails with the takedown and Matrix counters by moving into the clinch. Serrano pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Serrano tries to close the distance and clinch but Matrix swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Serrano gets the takedown into side control. Matrix tries to buck Serrano off but Serrano is having none of it. Matrix sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Matrix is looking to improve his position.
Matrix on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Matrix tries to get out of the position. Matrix is breathing heavily. Serrano perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Serrano passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Matrix! Serrano throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matrix tries to get back to half guard but can't. Serrano unloading with bombs! Serrano tries to control but Matrix wriggling away. Matrix is desperately trying to improve his position but Serrano has a good base and remains in mount. Matrix could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Serrano get's back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Serrano closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Matrix is trying to control Serrano's posture but Serrano avoids it. Matrix looks to move to half guard but instead Serrano has passed into mount! Damn! Serrano lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Matrix is looking to get to half guard. Matrix is working hard here to advance position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Serrano trying to control but Matrix is having none of it. The referee warns Matrix that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Serrano looking to control and managing it successfully. Matrix tries to hold on but Serrano postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dom Serrano dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Matrix buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Matrix with a lazy takedown attempt and Serrano decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Matrix's guard. Matrix has control of Serrano's left arm, preventing Serrano from doing any damage. Serrano stands up from Matrix's guard - Serrano perhaps looking for a knockout. Matrix shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Serrano counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Serrano. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Matrix trying to control the position.
Serrano gets to his feet. Matrix looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Matrix with a poor takedown and Serrano counters with a series of strikes. Matrix will be more careful next time no doubt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Matrix. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Serrano fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Serrano is looking to clinch. Matrix misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Matrix misses with a takedown attempt - Serrano sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Serrano shoots and misses and Matrix counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Matrix. Serrano keeping moving, preventing Matrix from controlling successfully. Matrix in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Matrix won't allow Serrano to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matrix controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Matrix seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Serrano for as long as he can get away with. Serrano looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Matrix slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Matrix passes into half guard. Matrix controlling the action here. Serrano tries to roll over but Matrix keeps him under control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Matrix lands a nice short elbow. Serrano wants to get back to his feet.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Matrix in particular looking to stall. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Serrano. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Serrano is looking for a sweep. Matrix is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dom Serrano showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Matrix shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Serrano but Serrano pushes him off and we're back to square one. Serrano tries to clinch but Matrix moves out of range.

Serrano wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Matrix gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Matrix. That's going to take a lot out of him. Serrano shoots and misses and Matrix counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Serrano's guard now. Serrano throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Matrix perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Serrano is refusing to be controlled, as Matrix sits in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Matrix is figuring out what he wants to do next.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Serrano scores with a three punch combo!
Matrix looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Serrano! Matrix avoids the attempt from Serrano to control. Matrix controlling the position easily from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Matrix has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Serrano flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
And that's the end of the fight! John Matrix showed his dominance in that final round. I think Serrano has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
