The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goldberg misses with a double jab.

cvb lands a big head kick that sends Goldberg tumbling to the mat! cvb takes a step backwards and waves Goldberg back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Bill Goldberg has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

cvb rushes Goldberg and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Goldberg.
cvb tries to pull guard but Goldberg holds him up against the cage and eventually cvb drops back down to his feet.

cvb manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
cvb doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

cvb scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Goldberg tries to bum rush cvb with a series of wild strikes but cvb uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Goldberg lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but cvb circles away quickly and effectively.
cvb shoots in for a double leg but Goldberg sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

cvb forces Goldberg back against the cage and clinches.
Goldberg dodges an elbow strike from cvb.
Goldberg tries to break the clinch but cvb is controlling the position.
cvb tries to score a body lock takedown but Goldberg shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Bill Goldberg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of fg cvb.
cvb wants a takedown.

That's one minute gone in the round.
cvb has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Goldberg avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Goldberg's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Goldberg tries to break free but cvb pushes him back against the cage.

cvb manages to pull guard.
cvb striking off his back but it's not causing Goldberg any problems.
Goldberg has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
cvb has his hands on Goldberg's head, controlling the position.
cvb controls Goldberg momentarily but Goldberg frees himself.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

cvb is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Goldberg rolls with it to try and escape but cvb cranks on the arm and Goldberg is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
