Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jude Dred (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Monroe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dred has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Monroe shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Monroe showed some decent athleticism there.
Dred tries to roll over but Monroe keeps him under control.
Dred on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dred tries to get out of the position.
It looks like Monroe is going to stand back up.
Monroe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dred keeps working.
Monroe is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Monroe is trying to control the action in half guard but Dred is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Monroe thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dred's head.
Dred is breathing heavily.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Dred misses with a takedown
and Monroe counters with a good, hard body kick but Dred shrugs it off.

Monroe scores with a takedown into Dred's guard.
Monroe slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Monroe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dred swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Monroe trying to control but Dred is working from the bottom.

Monroe cracks Dred with a solid left hand.
Dred is trying to control the position but Monroe postures up.
Monroe stands and throws Dred's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Monroe looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Dred is avoiding damage well.
Monroe wants to stand but Dred is controlling his arm.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Monroe throws an elbow but Dred slips to the side and avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Monroe has hold of Dred's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Dred tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Monroe cranks the arm and Dred screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Dred, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
