The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Handle stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Handle tries to clinch up.
Lopez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Handle moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lopez looks to land a right hand but Handle moved out of range.
Lopez connects with a looping right hand.
Handle dives in and grabs Lopez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lopez pushes down on Handle's head and hops out.

Handle is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gustavo Lopez.
