Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Acevedes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dee Nice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Acevedes kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Slayed. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dee Nice! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Acevedes tries to avoid it but Nice manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Acevedes to the ground. Acevedes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nice tries for a takedown but Acevedes sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Acevedes drives through with a takedown into guard. Acevedes trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Nice is striking from the bottom but Acevedes uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Nice gets full guard. Acevedes trying to control but Nice is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Acevedes is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Acevedes prevents Nice from getting back to his feet. Nice is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Acevedes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nice is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Acevedes won't allow Nice to get back to his feet. Nice is trying to keep Acevedes in close.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Nice tries for a takedown but Acevedes circles away easily and Acevedes counters with a shoot takedown. Nice fights it but they end up in guard. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nice fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Acevedes sprawls well initially but Nice persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Marcus Acevedes. Well Acevedes has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
