Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fred Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ted Chips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ted Chips will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fred Joe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ted Chips!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chips changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Joe tries to avoid it but Chips manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Joe to the ground. Joe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Chips shoots for a takedown but Joe saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Chips.
Fred Joe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ted Chips.

Chips feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Chips throws the left hand but Joe avoids the punch easily.

Ted Chips comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
