The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Winston Howard and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos shoots in looking for a takedown. Powers tries to sprawl out of it but Santos keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Powers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Powers moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Vitor Santos has been cut.
Powers scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Powers works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Powers gets a clinch.
Powers pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Powers connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Powers keeps the fight on the outside.
Powers misses with a head kick.
A good leg kick by Powers.
Santos looks gassed!
Powers jabs at Santos's body.
Kenny Powers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Powers scores with a push kick.
Powers scores with a jab.
Santos takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
That has opened up Vitor Santos's cut even more.
Santos sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Santos takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Powers lands a big head kick that sends Santos tumbling to the mat! Powers takes a step backwards and waves Santos back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Santos is rocked!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Powers, right into the meat.
Santos is still on wobbly legs! Can Powers finish him?
Powers lands with a right that hurts Santos. Santos looks to clinch but Powers throws a short knee that drops Santos. This one is all over!
