Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Noni Baquar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zack Zorlax (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zack Zorlax has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baquar closes this distance looking for a takedown but Zorlax circles away.
Baquar keeps the fight on the outside.
Zorlax shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Zorlax showed some decent athleticism there.
Zorlax is tying to control. Baquar wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Zorlax is thwarting Baquar's attempts to control the position.
Zorlax is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Baquar is just riding it out for now. Zorlax eventually gives up the hold.
Baquar is looking to improve his position.

Zorlax slips a nice elbow through Baquar's hands, connecting with Baquar's forehead.
Zorlax really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Baquar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Zorlax seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
I looks like Zorlax might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Baquar is pressing down on Zorlax's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Baquar trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Baquar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Zorlax doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Zorlax manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Baquar is breathing heavily.

Zorlax wants to stand but Baquar is controlling his posture from full guard.
Baquar looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Zorlax has picked Baquar up and slammed him! Baquar can't keep hold of the triangle and Zorlax manages to pass to side control!
Zorlax swings around for an armbar but Baquar sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Zorlax's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Baquar prevents Zorlax from getting back to his feet.

Baquar thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Zorlax is pulling down on Baquar's head. It's preventing any offense from Baquar, at least for the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zorlax has his foot on Baquar's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Baquar works his way back into a safe position though.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Zorlax counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Baquar wants to control but Zorlax is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Zorlax seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Zorlax is nestled in close to Baquar, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Zorlax looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Baquar is refusing to be controlled, as Zorlax sits in half guard.
Baquar won't allow Zorlax to pass to mount.

Zorlax seems to be working for a kimura but Baquar defends the submission attempt.
Zorlax decides to stand and escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Baquar shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Zorlax decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Baquar's guard.
Zorlax wants to pass the guard but Baquar is keeping the position.
Baquar bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Zorlax's guard.
Baquar tries to free his leg and advance position but Zorlax is retaining full guard.
Baquar trying to control but Zorlax is working from the bottom.
Baquar with a flurry of punches that miss.
Zorlax can't keep his opponent in guard - Baquar advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Baquar is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Zorlax!
Baquar goes for an armbar but Zorlax turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Zorlax.

Baquar is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Zorlax has his hands clasped together but Baquar extends an breaks Zorlax's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Baquar.
