Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Derek Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Two Time (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Two Time told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Derek Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Time sprawls well. Time wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Brown gets slowly back to his feet. Time looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! No luck for Brown with that takedown attempt. Brown fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Derek Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brown takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Time tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brown swats him away and circles back towards the center. Time throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Brown looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Time is trying to get back to full guard. Brown looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown tries to pass the half guard into mount. Time knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Brown controlling the action here. Brown has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Brown works his way into side control. Time regains half guard. Still in half guard, Brown seems content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Derek Brown just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Brown shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Time manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Time being controlled here, momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Time wants to sweep but no luck. Brown showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Time looking to control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Brown controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Brown has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Time keeping full guard, as Brown tries to pass. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brown fails with the takedown. Time leaves Brown with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Brown scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Time has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Brown is working away from the top position though. Brown is taking a breather. Time says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Time is breathing heavily. Brown wants to pass the guard but Time is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Derek Brown just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Time doesn't succeed with the takedown so Brown counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown sitting in guard here, content to control. Brown advances to half guard. Brown controlling the action here. Brown's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown passes to full mount! Brown prevents Time from getting the reversal. Brown tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Derek Brown just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Brown doesn't succeed with the takedown and Time counters by moving into the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Derek Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brown is trying to trip Time. He has hold of a leg but Time is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Brown persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Brown passes Time's left leg - he's now in half guard. Brown controlling the pace. Time looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Well, if Brown is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Derek Brown dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Brown shoots and misses and Time counters with a nice double leg into side control. Brown won't be happy with that. Time wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brown keeps working. Time wants to control for a moment but Brown uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Time prevents Brown from standing back up.
Time takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Time is pressing down on Brown's thigh, looking to free his foot. Brown is holding on for now. Brown is pressing down on Time's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Time stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brown swivels though and keeps the full guard. Brown wants to sweep but no luck. Brown is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Brown uses the cage to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Brown not doing much here.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Derek Brown just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Brown with a poor takedown and Time counters with a single leg into guard. Brown didn't expect that. Brown seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Two Time comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Brown has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
