Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ben McEnsie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Genghis Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McEnsie comes to the cage accompanied by You Can Do It. Khan has chosen Ready 4 War as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McEnsie misses with a head kick.
Khan is on the wrong end of a nice combination from McEnsie.

and McEnsie counters with a three punch combo that has Khan backing up. Khan nods at McEnsie to acknowledge the strikes.

Genghis Khan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Khan bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
McEnsie misses with a body shot.

Khan gets through McEnsie's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Khan lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt McEnsie or not.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McEnsie throws a right and a left that both miss.

McEnsie is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

A close second round but Genghis Khan will probably get the nod - 10:9.

and Khan makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Khan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Khan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
McEnsie tries to get back to half guard but can't.

McEnsie is desperately trying to improve his position but Khan has a good base and remains in mount.

Khan cracks McEnsie with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
McEnsie can't escape the position.
Khan wants to control the pace but McEnsie is squirming around nicely.
Khan working some short elbows here. He postures up to throw some more ground and pound but McEnsie slips a leg through to get back to half guard. Nice work.
McEnsie is trying to control but can't.

Genghis Khan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
McEnsie wants to stand back up but Khan manages to pass into side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
McEnsie is looking to reverse the position.

McEnsie tries to bench press Khan off him but Khan keeps the position.
Khan lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
McEnsie is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Khan has just dragged him back down to the mat.
McEnsie regains half guard.
Khan seems to be working for a kimura but McEnsie defends the submission attempt.
Khan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
McEnsie trying to hold on to Khan's head to control him but Khan postures up.

Let's hope that Khan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Genghis Khan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Khan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
