Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Three Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Poopdeck PJ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Three Dog!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Poopdeck PJ!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dog shoots in and drives through. PJ sprawls well.
PJ lands a slapping body shot.

Dog has PJ up against the cage in a clinch.

Dog breaks the clinch.
PJ moves out of range as Dog throws a body kick.
Dog walks into a jab.
Dog tries to move into range but PJ moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
PJ avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dog will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
PJ throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
PJ throws a shot from downtown. Dog moves away and avoids it.
No luck for Dog with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Three Dog. That's going to take a lot out of him.
PJ throws out a powerful jab.
PJ ducks under a wild hook from Dog.
PJ misses with an uppercut. Dog saw that one coming.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dog throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around PJ's waist but PJ gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dog off to one side.
Dog tries to bum rush PJ with a series of wild strikes but PJ uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dog fails to land with a series of punches.
The fighters circling - PJ throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

PJ decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Dog wants to get back to full guard.
Dog is breathing heavily.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Dog on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dog tries to get out of the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are battling for position here. Dog manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Dog knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for PJ on the ground.
PJ controls from within his opponent's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dog looking to control.
Dog wants to control but PJ passes easily into half guard.
PJ moves nicely into side control.
Dog pushes PJ away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, PJ gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dog wants to control but PJ postures up.
PJ controlling from side mount.
Let's hope that PJ has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
I looks like PJ might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Despite being in the dominant position, Poopdeck PJ just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
PJ dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Dog tries to close the distance and clinch up but PJ swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Dog is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
PJ throws a series of punches but Dog moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dog shoots and misses
letting PJ counter with a right hand.
PJ scores with the left hand. Dog knows he should have avoided that one.
Dog takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
PJ scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.


Dog is rocked!
Dog has his takedown stuffed
and PJ scores with a counter punch that sends Dog to the canvas! PJ smells blood - he's punishing Dog with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Dog has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Poopdeck PJ!
