The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Piotrowski shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Eads is breathing heavily. Piotrowski is thwarting Eads's attempts to control the position. Eads pushes Piotrowski off looking to stand but Piotrowski dives back in and keeps control.
Piotrowski is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. It looks like Piotrowski is going to stand back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Piotrowski looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Eads with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Piotrowski is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Eads can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Eads is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Piotrowski locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Eads is forced to tap!
