Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baraka Ice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wayne kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Last of my kind. Christopher Wayne could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Baraka Ice's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christopher Wayne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Baraka Ice! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ice leaves Wayne with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ice swinging wildly here.
Wayne throws a left and a right that both miss
and Ice counters with a takedown into side control. Wayne struggling a bit here. Wayne tries to improve position but can't. Ice tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Ice happy to just control the position for now. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Wayne tries to improve position but can't. The referee asks Ice politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Ice prefers to stall for the moment though. Wayne struggling a bit here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ice throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wayne was covering up waiting for the punch and Ice finishes the takedown easily into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ice is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Ice trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Ice is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Ice looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wayne working a defensive guard here.
Ice is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Wayne preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Ice stands up from guard. Let's bang! Wayne is looking to clinch but Ice is avoiding it.

Ice thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Ice slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. Wayne knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ice on the ground. Wayne is looking to escape. Ice is taking a breather. Wayne says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Despite being in the dominant position, Baraka Ice just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wayne thuds his right hand into Ice's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wayne throws a predictable looking body shot
and Ice counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ice shoots in for a takedown but Wayne shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Ice tries for a takedown but Wayne sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ice looks gassed! Ice shoots in for a takedown but Wayne shows good takedown defense. Christopher Wayne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Baraka Ice. Wayne bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Wayne working the head with strikes. Ice tries to improve position but can't. Ice manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Ice wants to improve his position but Wayne is controlling well.

Baraka Ice dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Wayne will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

and Ice counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Wayne's guard now. Ice advances to half guard. Ice wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wayne keeps working. Wayne actively working from the bottom here. Ice content to control rather than advance. Wayne is defending against the submission attempts here by Ice.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wayne wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ice controlling the pace. Ice looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Ice. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Ice is controlling the pace.
Let's hope that Ice has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ice is trying to control the action in half guard but Wayne is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Ice blocks the strikes from Wayne.
Wayne is not content to let Ice control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ice has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Wayne finds it's way round the side to connect with Ice's head. Christopher Wayne is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ice tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wayne sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ice somewhat. Wayne scores with a decent looking hook. Wayne tries to bum rush Ice with a series of wild strikes but Ice uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Wayne throws a combination that misses and Ice counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Ice thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Baraka Ice showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Ice lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Wayne backs up against the cage.
Ice lands a nice looking body kick. Ice shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ice showed some decent athleticism there. Ice performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
