The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rucon scores a takedown into full mount!
Dallas tries to hold on but Rucon pushes him away.
Dallas really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Dallas wants to hold on but Rucon pushes him away.
Rucon tries to control but Dallas wriggling away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Dallas not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rucon tries to stand but Dallas is controlling from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rucon is looking to clinch.
Rucon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Dallas clinches up against the cage.
Dallas has Rucon pushed against the cage.
Rucon tries to pull guard but Dallas holds him up against the cage and eventually Rucon drops back down to his feet.

Dallas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dallas shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rucon as he jumps to the side.

Dallas looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Rucon!

Dallas swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Rucon is now in Dallas's guard. A big mistake from Dallas there, giving up the dominant position!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dallas looks gassed!
Rucon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dallas works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rucon trying to control the position from guard on top but Dallas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rucon wants to stand but Dallas is controlling his posture from full guard.
Dallas wants to sweep here but Rucon controlling him for the moment.
Rucon tries to free his leg and advance position but Dallas is retaining full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Dallas controls Rucon momentarily but Rucon frees himself.
Rucon passes Dallas's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Dallas actively working from the bottom here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rucon steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Dallas. That one must have hurt.

Dallas rushes Rucon and presses him up against the cage.
Dallas tries for a takedown. No joy.
Rucon tries to pull guard but Dallas holds him up against the cage and eventually Rucon drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hao Rucon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rucon fails to pull guard.
Dallas keeps control of Rucon as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Dallas goes for a takedown in the clinch but Rucon prevents it.
Rucon tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dallas smiles and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Hao Rucon will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Dallas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Rucon keeping busy on the bottom but Dallas has passed one foot through into half guard.
Dallas is looking to advance position but Rucon won't allow it.
Dallas tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Rucon.
Dallas trying to control from half guard but Rucon is working away.
Dallas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rucon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Dallas stands up and beckons Rucon to join him on the feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Rucon crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Dallas - the referee stops the clock and Rucon gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Dallas. Rucon manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Dallas lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Dallas fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Dallas lands with a kick to the temple. Rucon shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Rucon is rocked!
A head kick by Dallas - that's a beauty! Rucon is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Dallas can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
