Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ding Aling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ashton Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ding Aling!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ashton Bell!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aling bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Aling wants to clinch.
Bell tries to close the distance and clinch but Aling swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bell moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Bell swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Bell throws a hook but Aling avoids it easily.
Bell swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Aling tries to clinch up but Bell circles away and keeps his distance.

Aling decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Aling tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bell knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Aling is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bell has managed to free his arm - good work.
Bell wants to control but Aling is keeping busy.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Aling is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bell is looking to escape.

Aling wants to advance to full mount but Bell doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Bell working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Aling doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Aling manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bell is striking but Aling is not phased and passes to half guard.
Aling blocks the strikes from Bell.
Bell trying to hold on to Aling's head to control him but Aling postures up.
Aling is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bell!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bell really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Aling has hold of Bell's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bell manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Aling is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Bell is in real trouble.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Aling sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Bell taps out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ding Aling!
