Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cornelius Smithy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaska Torttu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cornelius Smithy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torttu shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Torttu showed some decent athleticism there.
Smithy looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Smithy tries to roll over but Torttu keeps him under control.
Torttu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smithy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Torttu wants to pass to mount but Smithy is defending the position.

Torttu wants to take a breather but Smithy is having none of it.
Smithy is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Torttu scores with a couple of nice shots.

Torttu is nestled in close to Smithy, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Torttu is working for a kimura but Smithy is defending it quite comfortably.

Torttu seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Torttu winds up and cracks Smithy with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Torttu escapes and gets back to his feet.

Smithy is fighting off a takedown attempt but Torttu is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Smithy to the mat. Smithy regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Smithy has momentary wrist control but Torttu slips an elbow through the middle.
Smithy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Torttu defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Torttu fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Smithy sprawls well initially but Torttu persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Torttu with the ground and pound but Smithy uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Torttu drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Smithy dives on top into guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Smithy drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Smithy as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Torttu screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Smithy! Nice submission victory there!
