Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Scott Vick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and matt bader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Vick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vick has bader up against the cage in a clinch.
bader drags the fight down to the ground.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vick accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Vick might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
bader is looking for a triangle but Vick pushes his legs off easily.
bader wants to get back to his feet but Vick is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
bader keeping moving, preventing Vick from controlling successfully.
Vick postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

bader is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Vick sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed bader's guard.

Well, if Vick is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Vick stands up and beckons bader to join him on the feet.
bader throws a leg kick but Vick sees it coming and moves out of range.
Vick shoots for a takedown but bader saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Vick wants to clinch.
Vick moves into the clinch.
bader wants to break the clinch but can't.
bader stops a takedown attempt from Vick.
Vick misses with some punches.
Vick has bader pushed against the cage.

bader lands with a short head shot on the inside.
bader tries for a takedown but Vick manages to get underhooks.
Vick drops to a knee looking for a takedown but bader gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Vick stands and steps away. bader gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Vick is breathing heavily.
Vick throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around bader's waist but bader gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vick off to one side.
bader fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vick sprawls well initially but bader persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
bader is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Vick has managed to free his arm - good work.
bader is taking a breather. Vick says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Vick wants to control but bader is keeping busy and won't allow it.
bader really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vick. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are battling for position here. Vick manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Vick is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Vick seems keen to control bader's posture.
Vick uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Vick tries to land a front kick but bader steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

That's time! Vick's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Vick misses with a takedown attempt - bader sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

bader feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Vick connects with a nice short shot to bader's temple.
Vick has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Vick is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Vick shoots in for a takedown but bader shows good takedown defense.
bader misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

and Vick counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Vick wants to clinch.

Vick drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vick jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Vick is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Scott Vick just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Vick closes the distance and clinches up with bader, looking for a takedown. Vick pushes bader against the cage but bader circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from bader - that will leave a mark!

Vick tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. bader just stands there and leans against the cage.

Vick has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed bader clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Vick, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
