Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nikolas Mguayguay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert McLovin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nikolas Mguayguay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Robert McLovin!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLovin fakes the leg kick and cracks Mguayguay in the body.
McLovin tries to clinch up but Mguayguay circles away and keeps his distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - McLovin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
McLovin tries a head kick but it misses.
McLovin blocks a head kick by Mguayguay.

McLovin gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mguayguay to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Mguayguay is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mguayguay stops McLovin from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mguayguay trying to control the position from guard on top but McLovin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mguayguay is really struggling to control McLovin but he's trying to hold on to the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mguayguay sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Mguayguay stands and throws McLovin's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Mguayguay trying to control the action but McLovin is working from the bottom.

Mguayguay prevents McLovin from escaping the position.
Mguayguay throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Mguayguay staying calm.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mguayguay seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down McLovin for as long as he can get away with.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Nikolas Mguayguay just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Mguayguay shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Mguayguay wants to stand up but McLovin is controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Robert McLovin will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Mguayguay changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McLovin tries to avoid it but Mguayguay manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McLovin to the ground. McLovin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
McLovin wants to get back to his feet.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
McLovin misses with a two punch combination.

McLovin throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Mguayguay shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McLovin's guard.

Mguayguay gets to his feet - McLovin follows without any prompting.

McLovin pushes Mguayguay up against the cage in a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McLovin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nikolas Mguayguay is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
McLovin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
McLovin throws a head kick but Mguayguay moves out of range.
McLovin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
McLovin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mguayguay moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Mguayguay drives through and clinches with McLovin against the cage.
McLovin misses with a knee strike.

Mguayguay has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics McLovin uses from the top position.
Mguayguay is pulling down on McLovin's head. It's preventing any offense from McLovin, at least for the moment.

Mguayguay pushes McLovin off and scrambles back to his feet.

Mguayguay closes this distance looking for a takedown but McLovin circles away.

McLovin throws a head kick but Mguayguay moves out of range.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Mguayguay shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Mguayguay performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Mguayguay throwing shots but McLovin is blocking nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nikolas Mguayguay dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Mguayguay darts in and clinches McLovin up against the cage.

McLovin throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Mguayguay blocks it with crossed arms.
Mguayguay drops to a knee looking for a takedown but McLovin gets the underhooks and prevents it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mguayguay successfully pulls guard.
Mguayguay lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for McLovin!

McLovin has left one of his arms exposed and Mguayguay doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. McLovin screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
