Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alistar Astyages (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinji Tainaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tainaka has chosen BATTLE FUNKASTIC as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Russell Pearce and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Astyages lands with an uppercut that bounces Tainaka off the cage and back into rage.
Tainaka swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Nice defenses there by Tainaka.
Tainaka throws a body punch but Astyages moves out of range.
Tainaka fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Astyages slips a straight right by Tainaka.
Tainaka fails with an attempt to clinch.
Astyages throws a hook but Tainaka avoids it easily.
Astyages looks to land a left hand but Tainaka moved out of range nicely.
Tainaka catches Astyages with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
It looks like Alistar Astyages has been cut.
Astyages takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Astyages looks to score with a jab to the body but Tainaka is just out of range.
Tainaka scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Astyages wants to get back to his feet.
Tainaka sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Astyages defending well though.

Tainaka missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Tainaka wants to lay and pray for a moment but Astyages keeps working.
Astyages is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Tainaka pulls his head out easily.
Tainaka thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Astyages's head.
Astyages is looking to control Tainaka's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Astyages avoid being mounted?
Astyages has hold of Tainaka's hands but Tainaka slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Astyages wants to get back to full guard.

Tainaka looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Astyages with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Tainaka thows a huge punch but Astyages dodges it nicely.
Tainaka is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Astyages sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tainaka throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tainaka thows a huge punch but Astyages dodges it nicely.
Tainaka passes to side control.
Tainaka creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Tainaka misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Tainaka is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Astyages is trying to escape and Tainaka transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Astyages is forced to tap! Nice work there by Tainaka! Very nice indeed!
