Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ben Raymond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Palmer feints and as Raymond raises his hands in defense, Palmer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Raymond stalks Palmer and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Palmer's face. Palmer staggers backwards, shaken.

Palmer shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Raymond's guard.

Palmer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Palmer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Raymond is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Raymond on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Raymond tries to get out of the position.

Palmer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Raymond swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Palmer thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Palmer is fighting to break Raymond's control of his arms but Raymond is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Palmer shoots for a double leg takedown but Raymond sprawls well. He's pushed Palmer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ben Raymond will probably get the nod.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Raymond has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Roy Palmer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Raymond controls Palmer momentarily but Palmer frees himself.
Palmer throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Raymond works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Palmer trying to control the position from guard on top but Raymond is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Palmer dives in and grabs Raymond's left leg, looking for a takedown. Raymond pushes down on Palmer's head and hops out.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ben Raymond.
I think Raymond has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
