The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schaeffer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Savage is fending him off so far but Schaeffer persists. Nope, Savage circles away and we're back to standing. Schaeffer shoots in for a double leg but Savage sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Savage drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Schaeffer dives on top into guard.
