Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Calderon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urpo Leppanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Xavier Calderon has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Xavier Calderon seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calderon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Leppanen's waist but Leppanen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Calderon off to one side.
Calderon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Leppanen but Leppanen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Calderon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Leppanen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Calderon moves into the clinch.
Calderon tries to pull guard but Leppanen won't allow it.

Calderon is working for a kimura but Leppanen is defending it quite comfortably.
Leppanen flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Calderon wants to work for an arm triangle but Leppanen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Calderon is looking to stall here but Leppanen recovers full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Calderon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Leppanen swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Calderon decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Leppanen's guard.
Calderon controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Calderon is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Leppanen has managed to free his arm - good work.
Leppanen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Calderon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Leppanen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Calderon content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
