Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Victor Sagat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sagat comes to the cage accompanied by His own theme music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Victor Sagat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roman Grant! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grant scores with a decent looking hook. Grant connects with a body shot. Sagat chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Sagat throws out a loose jab but Grant uses good head movement to avoid it. Grant scores with a nice right hand.
Sagat ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Grant moves away. Sagat walks into a left hand. Sagat shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Sagat moves out of range of the strikes. Sagat throws a solid leg kick but Grant takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Sagat. Sagat doesn't manage to clinch there - Grant circles away.
Grant misses with a low kick as Sagat jumps back. Sagat throws a sloppy head kick and Grant moves out of range easily. Grant lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Sagat throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. A jab from Grant misses. Sagat pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Sagat fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Grant is out of range. Grant lands with a cross. Grant misses the jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sagat takes one to the chin there. Grant ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sagat moves away. Grant throws out a loose jab but Sagat uses good head movement to avoid it. Nice uppercut lands for Grant. That snapped Sagat's head back.

Sagat takes a body punch but keeps moving. Sagat is breathing heavily. Grant lands a slapping body shot.
Grant scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Sagat doesn't seem bothered though. Grant lands with a right hand. Sagat walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Grant catches Sagat with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sagat takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Sagat takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Grant connects with a jab. Grant is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Sagat had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Grant cracks Sagat with a right hand to the side of the head. Grant throws an overhand right that drops Sagat like a sack of potatoes! Grant dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
