Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Martins! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Udarnik fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Martins looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Udarnik fails with an attempt to clinch.
Udarnik closes this distance looking for a takedown but Martins circles away. Udarnik fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Veselui Udarnik. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice sprawl there from Udarnik as Martins shoots in. Udarnik shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Martins decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Udarnik's guard. Udarnik wants to get back to his feet but Martins is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Martins is looking to work some ground and pound but Udarnik has wrist control. Udarnik blocking the ground and pound attempt from Martins. Martins is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Udarnik tries to kick Martins off but Martins keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Martins working the head and body with strikes. Martins is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Udarnik defends it well. Udarnik knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Martins on the ground. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Martins thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Udarnik avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Martins.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Udarnik is looking to clinch but Martins is avoiding it.
Udarnik shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Martins pinned against the cage. Martins gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Udarnik gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Martins to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Martins throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Udarnik was covering up waiting for the punch and Martins finishes the takedown easily into guard. Udarnik is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Martins is controlling him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Martins stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Martins wants it to stay on the feet. Udarnik scores with a three punch combo!

Martins tries to avoid it but Udarnik manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Martins to the ground. Martins escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Udarnik lands with a straight right. Martins didn't see that one coming. Udarnik wants to clinch. Udarnik tries to clinch but Martins is having none of it. Udarnik scores with a one two! Martins had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Udarnik tries to clinch but Martins is having none of it.

Udarnik gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Udarnik looks for the body kick but Martins saw that one coming. Martins fails to land with a series of punches.
Udarnik throws a sloppy head kick and Martins moves out of range easily. Udarnik tries to close the distance and clinch but Martins swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Udarnik doesn't manage to clinch there - Martins circles away.
Udarnik scores with a one two! Martins had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. A good leg kick by Udarnik. Udarnik throws a body punch but Martins moves out of range.

Udarnik scores with a punch to the head. Udarnik keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Udarnik looks for a takedown but Martins sprawls well. Udarnik throws a head kick that misses. Martins bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Martins decides to stand up, so the ref orders Udarnik to his feet. Horrible takedown by Martins or perhaps it was just good defense by Udarnik which made him look bad. Udarnik misses with a double jab.

Martins is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Udarnik doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Martins. Udarnik pushes Martins off looking to stand but Martins dives back in and keeps control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Udarnik fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Martins manages to avoid it. Martins shoots for a takedown but Udarnik saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. The fight stays on the outside here - Udarnik looks like he's thinking about clinching though. and Martins counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Martins prevents Udarnik from getting back to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Martins throwing strikes from guard but Udarnik blocks nicely. Martins scoring with punches to the head and body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Martins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Some wild striking there from Udarnik.
Udarnik wants to clinch. Udarnik tries to score a power double leg takedown but Martins sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Udarnik somewhat. Martins shoots in and drives through. Udarnik sprawls well. Udarnik throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Udarnik shoots for a takedown but Martins saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Udarnik misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Veselui Udarnik is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Udarnik looks to clinch and Martins counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Udarnik! Martins punishing his opponent with strikes. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Martins with good strikes from the mount here! Martins is landing with some decent strikes but Udarnik is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Martins. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
