Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gundar Thorsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksandr Karelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Thorsen might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Thunder struck- ACDC. Karelin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Russian National Anthem. Aleksandr Karelin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karelin throws an overhand right that lands on Thorsen's shoulder, as Thorsen tries to avoid the shot.
Thorsen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Thorsen misses with a two punch combination.
Thorsen tries to bum rush Karelin with a series of wild strikes but Karelin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Thorsen works Karelin's body with a nice hook.
Karelin shoots in looking for a takedown. Thorsen tries to sprawl out of it but Karelin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Thorsen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Karelin swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Thorsen counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Thorsen scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Karelin looks gassed!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Thorsen lands a jab-cross combination.
Thorsen bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Karelin's head.
Thorsen stalks Karelin and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Karelin's face. Karelin staggers backwards, shaken.
Aleksandr Karelin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thorsen uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Karelin has time to react.

Thorsen lands a left and a right that send Karelin crashing to the mat, dazed. Thorsen thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Karelin is rocked!
Thorsen cracks the inside of Karelin's front leg.
Karelin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A punch combination from Thorsen misses.
Thorsen jabs at Karelin's body.

Thorsen drops Karelin with a beautiful combination! Karelin stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Thorsen is looking for the KO!
Karelin is still on wobbly legs! Can Thorsen finish him?

It looks like Aleksandr Karelin has been cut.
Thorsen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Karelin seems to have recovered his senses.
Thorsen lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A jab lands there for Thorsen.
Thorsen scores with a crisp jab that stopped Karelin in his tracks.
Thorsen lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Karelin is looking to close the distance but Thorsen sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Karelin crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Karelin is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
