Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Samir Reyes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cole Trickle! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trickle shoots in and drives through. Reyes sprawls well. Reyes misses with a jab, cross combination.
Reyes punishes Trickle's body with a nice straight punch. Reyes throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Reyes lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Cole Trickle has been cut. Reyes scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Trickle avoids the body shot from Reyes.
Trickle missing with a left hand there. Reyes was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Trickle takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Trickle takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Reyes counters with a right hand to the body. Reyes lands the left hand. Trickle looks to throw the jab but Reyes is out of range. Reyes slips under a jab from Trickle. Trickle shoots for a double leg takedown but Reyes sprawls well. He's pushed Trickle's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Trickle looks gassed! Reyes throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Reyes connects with a body shot. Trickle takes a jab right on the kisser.
Jab by Reyes. Trickle pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Reyes slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Reyes lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That's one minute gone in the round. Reyes lands a nice shot to the body.
Reyes fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Reyes lands a jab. Reyes moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Reyes cracks Trickle with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Reyes is looking to wear down Trickle with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Good shot there by Reyes. Reyes tests Trickle's chin there with a solid looking shot. Reyes lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Trickle gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Reyes counters with a right hand to the body. Samir Reyes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cole Trickle. Reyes connects with a right hand. Trickle shakes it off. Trickle is trying desperately to land a takedown but Reyes is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Trickle. Trickle gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. A nice combination there by Reyes.
Trickle takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Reyes dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Reyes connects with a body shot. Reyes changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Reyes connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reyes throws a good cross that connects.
Reyes scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Reyes lunges at Trickle with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Trickle's hand. Trickle takes one on the button. Trickle drops his hands momentarily and Reyes takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Reyes with a body punch. A glancing blow. Reyes is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Reyes jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Trickle is rocked! Reyes lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Trickle is still on wobbly legs! Can Reyes finish him? I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Reyes has cracked Trickle with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Reyes lands another huge swinging hook and Trickle tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Trickle, before Reyes can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Samir Reyes!
