Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Langhi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock LesnAr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). LesnAr has chosen Samwell - "What What (In the Butt) as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michael Langhi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brock LesnAr!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Vladimir Khabensky and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

LesnAr looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Langhi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. LesnAr is aware though and is defending well.

LesnAr drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Langhi dives on top into guard.
Langhi pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. LesnAr is keeping the position for now.

Langhi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but LesnAr manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Langhi has LesnAr in his guard.
LesnAr must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Langhi tries to land a sweep but no joy.

LesnAr tries to free his leg and advance position but Langhi is retaining full guard.
Langhi not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

LesnAr wants to stand but Langhi has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Langhi isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. LesnAr stacks Langhi on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by LesnAr!
LesnAr wants to stand but Langhi is controlling his arm.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
LesnAr wants to lay and pray for a moment but Langhi keeps working.
Langhi tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but LesnAr wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Langhi fails with the takedown

and LesnAr counters with a nice double leg into side control. Langhi won't be happy with that.
Langhi is breathing heavily.
LesnAr tries to advance to mount but can't.

LesnAr has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Langhi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from LesnAr.

Langhi feints and as LesnAr raises his hands in defense, Langhi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Langhi wants to control from the top but LesnAr keeps moving.

LesnAr has his feet on Langhi's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
LesnAr has his takedown stuffed

and Langhi counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Langhi won't allow LesnAr to get back to his feet.
Langhi slips nicely into half guard.

Langhi is working for a kimura but LesnAr is defending it quite comfortably.
LesnAr wants to get back to full guard.

LesnAr is defending against the submission attempts here by Langhi.
LesnAr is trying to stand up here but Langhi is controlling him well.
Langhi is controlling the pace.
LesnAr tries to kick Langhi off but Langhi keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Michael Langhi will probably get the nod.

Langhi scores with a jab to the body.
Langhi shoots for a double leg takedown but LesnAr sprawls well. He's pushed Langhi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
LesnAr misses with a hook to the body
and Langhi counters with a straight right hand.
Langhi misses with a takedown attempt
and LesnAr counters with a stiff right hand.
LesnAr lands a nice shot that snaps Langhi's head back.

Langhi gets caught flat footed, as LesnAr shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
LesnAr throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Langhi works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Langhi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

LesnAr really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Langhi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
LesnAr wants to control from the top but Langhi keeps moving.
LesnAr postures up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Brock LesnAr has got the better of the ground game so far.

Langhi keeping full guard, as LesnAr tries to pass.

Langhi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and LesnAr defends well.
LesnAr preventing the sweep.
LesnAr should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
LesnAr has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Langhi is proving hard to escape from.
Langhi has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Langhi manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Langhi moves to the back position.
LesnAr is trying to get back to his feet but Langhi has full control of the position and if anything, LesnAr has just worked his way into a worse spot.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

LesnAr defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Langhi's arms.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Langhi is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but LesnAr has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
LesnAr staying busy and making it hard for Langhi to control.

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Langhi is hanging on to LesnAr's back as he tries to escape.
LesnAr trying to control the action but Langhi just sinks the hooks in.

Langhi is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
LesnAr is trying to stand back up.

LesnAr is trying to break free.

LesnAr is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Langhi gets his way!
LesnAr is trying to stand back up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Langhi has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

LesnAr stands up and waves to Langhi to follow him.
Langhi gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and LesnAr connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
LesnAr ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Langhi moves away.
Nice shot lands for Langhi.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Langhi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Langhi shoots and misses
and LesnAr counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Langhi looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
LesnAr is looking to improve his position.
LesnAr trying to get back to full guard but Langhi takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Langhi has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! LesnAr is forced to tap!
