Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wells Dengel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Benoit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dengel comes into the arena with "Backlash" by Front Line Assembly blaring out of the sound system. Wells Dengel has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dengel moves in looking to clinch but Benoit pushes him off.
Benoit displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dengel.
Benoit ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dengel moves away.
Benoit missing with a left hand there. Dengel was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dengel really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd cheers as Benoit lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dengel doesn't seem phased though.

Dengel is taking a breather. Benoit says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Dengel is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Benoit doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dengel.
