Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McManus is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bokacho sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. McManus keeps the fight on the outside. A punch combination from McManus misses. McManus rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bokacho moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bokacho fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bokacho slaps away a takedown attempt from McManus, before circling back to the center of the mat. Bokacho throws a nice inside leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McManus looks to clinch and Bokacho counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Bokacho breaks from the clinch.
Bokacho fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McManus, pushing him back against the cage. McManus tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Bokacho has McManus pressed against the cage, preventing McManus from circling away and getting back to striking at range. McManus is trying to break free. McManus tries to stall but Bokacho uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Bokacho escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bokacho tries to clinch but fails miserably and McManus counters with a nice double leg into guard. Bokacho has his hands on McManus's head, controlling the position. McManus trying to control but Bokacho is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McManus wants to stand but Bokacho has a closed guard, so he can't escape. McManus missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McManus wants to pass the guard but Bokacho is keeping the position. McManus is breathing heavily. McManus looking to sit in guard and control but Bokacho gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Bokacho stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McManus swivels though and keeps the full guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. McManus shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bokacho defends it nicely. Bokacho throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bokacho scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Bokacho throws a sloppy head kick and McManus moves out of range easily. Good leg kick by Bokacho there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Bokacho bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps McManus's head backwards. McManus tries for a takedown but Bokacho circles away easily and Bokacho counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bokacho. Bokacho is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Bokacho wants to pass the guard but McManus is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jovanni Bokacho dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Bokacho closes the distance and clinches. McManus stalling in the clinch but Bokacho improves position. Bokacho is trying to force a seperation but McManus has the dominant position. Bokacho pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. McManus dives in and grabs Bokacho's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bokacho pushes down on McManus's head and hops out. Bokacho lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. McManus takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. McManus throws a lazy head kick and Bokacho counters with a lovely straight right hand! A slapping leg kick lands for Bokacho.
Bokacho has McManus up against the cage in a clinch.

Jeff McManus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McManus throws a sloppy head kick and Bokacho counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bokacho. Bokacho pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. McManus throws a lazy head kick and Bokacho counters with a nice leg kick. McManus circles away from the clinch attempt and McManus counters with a lovely straight right hand! A solid leg kick lands there for Bokacho.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Bokacho breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

McManus throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Bokacho holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Bokacho looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Bokacho breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. McManus closes the distance looking to clinch and Bokacho counters with a low kick, right behind McManus 's knee. Bokacho instigates a clinch.

Bokacho lets loose with a powerful body kick. McManus will feel that in the morning. McManus shoots for a double leg takedown but Bokacho sprawls well. He's pushed McManus's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. McManus tries to keep at a distance but Bokacho has taken the fight into the clinch. Bokacho misses with a knee strike.
Bokacho's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Bokacho has managed to clinch.
Bokacho pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. McManus clinches but Bokacho breaks the clinch and Bokacho holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Bokacho pulls McManus in to control the position. McManus looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Bokacho is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jovanni Bokacho showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
McManus throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bokacho's waist but Bokacho gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McManus off to one side. Bokacho defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McManus. A telegraphed takedown attempt from McManus is defended easily by Bokacho. McManus had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. McManus doesn't succeed with the takedown and Bokacho counters with a nice uppercut. Bokacho thows a body kick. McManus tries to catch it but that hurt him. McManus is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bokacho sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. McManus shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. McManus shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bokacho as he jumps to the side.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bokacho smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. McManus shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bokacho pinned against the cage. Bokacho gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Bokacho moves into range and clinches up with McManus. Bokacho breaks from the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bokacho breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

McManus has Bokacho pressed against the cage, preventing Bokacho from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Bokacho wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but McManus has him pressed against the cage. Bokacho manages to break the clinch.
Jeff McManus is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bokacho pivots, looking for a leg kick but McManus is out of range and Bokacho settles back down. McManus misses with a takedown and Bokacho finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Bokacho displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from McManus. Jeff McManus has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jovanni Bokacho is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Bokacho moves out of range as McManus strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Jovanni Bokacho comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Bokacho has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
