Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacobo Julio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frans Aki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jacobo Julio! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Frans Aki! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Aki looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Aki shoots for a double leg takedown but Julio sprawls well. He's pushed Aki's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Aki throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Julio's waist but Julio gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Aki off to one side. Aki doesn't manage to clinch there - Julio circles away.
Aki is looking to clinch. Aki tries to close the distance and clinch up but Julio swats him away and circles back towards the center. Aki fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jacobo Julio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frans Aki. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No luck with that takedown attempt from Aki. Aki fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Julio avoids it really well and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aki shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Julio but Julio pushes him off and we're back to square one. Aki throws a nice inside leg kick. Aki tries a head kick but it misses.
Aki shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Julio's guard. Aki looks gassed! Julio is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Julio keeping moving, preventing Aki from controlling successfully. Julio is looking to stand up but Aki isn't so interested in that idea. Aki looking to pass the guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aki stops Julio from standing up. Aki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Julio swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Aki. Julio shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Aki napping and manages to drive through into side control! Aki is letting Julio control him for a moment. Julio working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Julio lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Aki down.
The referee asks Julio politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Julio prefers to stall for the moment though. Julio throwing shots but missing, from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Julio shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Aki defends it nicely. Aki throws a head kick that Julio semi-blocks.
Aki feints and as Julio raises his hands in defense, Aki changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Julio wants to stand and escape but Aki is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Aki is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aki with a flurry of punches that miss. Julio pushes Aki off and scrambles back to his feet.
Aki gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Julio counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Julio lands a couple of elbows. Julio landing some decent shots from guard. Julio seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Julio pushing down on Aki's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Aki tries to roll over but Julio keeps him under control. Julio with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Still in half guard, Julio seems content to control. Julio working the head and body with strikes. Julio wants to take a breather but Aki is having none of it. Julio is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Julio sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Aki defending well though. Julio performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Julio lands with a punch from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Julio looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Aki with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Julio lands strikes from half guard. Julio content to control rather than advance. Julio lands strikes from half guard. Aki is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Julio scores with a couple of nice shots. Ground and pound from Julio. Julio looks to score some points with some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jacobo Julio dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Julio doesn't succeed with the takedown and Aki counters with a solid body kick. Aki shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Julio counters with a shoot takedown. Aki fights it but they end up in guard. Julio is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Julio in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Aki takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Julio scoring with punches to the head and body. Julio preventing the sweep. Julio stands and throws Aki's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aki tries to bench press Julio off him but Julio keeps the position. The referee asks Julio politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Julio prefers to stall for the moment though. Julio has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Check out the look on Julio's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Aki is rocked! Julio lands a strong strike to the head of Aki. That's dazed him! Julio looking to finish here. Aki is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Julio lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
