The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt doesn't manage to clinch there - Barnes circles away.
Hunt tries to clinch there but Barnes circles away.
No joy there for Barnes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hunt closes this distance looking for a takedown but Barnes circles away.
Barnes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hunt manages to avoid it.
Barnes scores with a hook to the body. Hunt takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Andre Barnes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hunt looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Barnes tries to land a leg kick but Hunt saw it coming and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barnes throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Hunt moves into range and clinches up with Barnes.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Hunt manages to break the clinch.
Barnes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Hunt tries to clinch there but Barnes circles away.
Barnes jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Barnes is looking to score with low kicks.
Hunt fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Barnes checks it well.

Hunt gets the takedown into side control.
Barnes is looking to reverse the position.
Hunt working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Hunt is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Barnes looks calm but he's in trouble here. Hunt gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Barnes is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Hunt lets go of the hold and Barnes can pop his arm back in it's socket.
