Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Chip McAllister!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, William McGregor!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
William McGregor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McAllister moves into range and clinches up with McGregor.
McGregor wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
McAllister is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
McGregor misses with some punches.
McAllister tries for a takedown but McGregor manages to get underhooks.

McAllister breaks from the clinch.
McGregor is looking to clinch.

McAllister bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McGregor can do anything to dispel that myth.

McAllister decides to stand back up.
McGregor just misses with a punch to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
McGregor working hard to break the clinch.
McGregor wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but McAllister has him pressed against the cage.
McGregor is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

McGregor manages to break the clinch.
McAllister tries a low kick but McGregor avoids it.
McAllister fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chip McAllister. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A jab from McGregor misses.
McGregor blocks a head kick by McAllister.
McGregor leaves McAllister with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

McGregor closes the distance and clinches.
McGregor lands with a short punch from the clinch.

McGregor pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
McAllister throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McGregor's waist but McGregor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McAllister off to one side.
McAllister shoots in but no luck this time.
McGregor throws a looping overhand right but McAllister ducks down to avoid it.
McAllister tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
McAllister uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McGregor.

McGregor moves into the clinch successfully.
McGregor tries to pull guard but McAllister holds him up against the cage and eventually McGregor drops back down to his feet.

McGregor breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
McAllister slips a jab and a cross from McGregor.
A left lands for McGregor.
McGregor misses with a low kick as McAllister jumps back.
McAllister slips under a jab.
McAllister fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McGregor avoids it really well and circles away.

McAllister gets in close and instigates a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McAllister jumps guard but McGregor stands there with McAllister around his waist. McAllister gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

McAllister breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McAllister lands a jab to McGregor's midsection.
McGregor tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

McAllister moves into range and clinches up with McGregor.
McGregor is trying to break the clinch but McAllister has him pressed against the cage.
McGregor tries to break the clinch but McAllister is controlling the position.
McGregor can't break the clinch.

McGregor breaks from the clinch.

McGregor gets a clinch.

McAllister pulls guard effortlessly.
McAllister is trying to control the position but McGregor postures up.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as McAllister holds on and takes a little breather.
McAllister throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

McGregor is looking to advance position but McAllister has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
McGregor is working to get back to half guard.
McAllister can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McGregor is looking to escape.
McGregor tries to reverse the position but McAllister maintains control.
McGregor is trying to stand but he's just given McAllister his back.
McAllister scores with punches from the back.
McGregor is trying to break free.
McAllister trying to control momentarily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

McAllister working for the choke.
McGregor is trying to get back to his feet but McAllister has full control of the position and if anything, McGregor has just worked his way into a worse spot.
McGregor is keeping busy.
McGregor breaks McAllister's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

McAllister pushes McGregor off and gets back to his feet.
McGregor wants to clinch
and McAllister counters with a nice uppercut.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McGregor tries to clinch but fails miserably

and McAllister counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by McAllister.
McGregor looks gassed!
McAllister wants to control from the top but McGregor keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chip McAllister dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


McAllister doesn't manage to clinch there - McGregor circles away.
McGregor tries to clinch but McAllister moves away

and McAllister counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by McAllister.

McAllister gets a trip takedown into half guard.
McGregor is looking to escape.
McAllister controlling the action here.
McAllister is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
McAllister with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

McGregor has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, McAllister escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by McAllister!
McGregor is breathing heavily.

McAllister is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, McGregor has escaped the position, nice work there.

McAllister is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt McGregor will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

McAllister has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Nice shot lands for McGregor.
McGregor tries to clinch

and McAllister counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
McGregor wants to improve his position but McAllister is controlling well.
McAllister working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

McAllister is sneakily working for an arm triangle but McGregor sees it coming and defends easily.
McAllister sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. McGregor defending well though.
McGregor is looking for a sweep. McAllister is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

McAllister is trying to work for a kimura but McGregor is defending well.
McGregor pushes McAllister off looking to stand but McAllister dives back in and keeps control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

McAllister gets in close and instigates a clinch.
McGregor stops a takedown attempt from McAllister.
McGregor tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. McAllister smiles and moves away.
McGregor scores with a hook.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McGregor looks to clinch

and McAllister counters with a nice double leg into side control. McGregor won't be happy with that.

McGregor wants to improve his position, back to half guard but McAllister has ideas of his own. He's got hold of McGregor's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! McGregor is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for McAllister!
