Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Akira Kazama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pierre LePew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

LePew throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Akira Kazama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kazama moves into range and clinches up with LePew.
Kazama is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Kazama escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

LePew is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kazama is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
LePew is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

LePew has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kazama can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kazama gets to his feet. LePew looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
LePew closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

LePew working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Kazama turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips LePew off and cradles Kazama's limp body as LePew celebrates with his corner.
