Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Amr Abraham! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lock Bresner! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abraham misses with a straight right. Abraham throws a big shot that misses. Abraham changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bresner tries to avoid it but Abraham manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bresner to the ground. Bresner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bresner ducks under a wild hook from Abraham. Abraham gets the takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. You can see the frustration on Bresner's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Bresner is letting Abraham control him for a moment. Abraham working the head and body with strikes. Bresner is bucking up trying to escape but Abraham cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Abraham controlling his opponent. Abraham breaks from Bresner's wrist control and lands an elbow. Abraham prevents Bresner from getting the reversal. Bresner tries to hold on but Abraham pushes him away. Abraham looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Bresner is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Abraham cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Abraham putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Abraham takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Abraham lands a nice shot to the head. Bresner really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Abraham scoring with strikes but Bresner is staying in there. Bresner looks gassed! Bresner is desperately trying to improve his position but Abraham has a good base and remains in mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Abraham is in the full mount, landing strikes. Abraham lands with some strikes. Bresner manages to regain half guard. Good work. Bresner keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Abraham is figuring out what he wants to do next. Abraham looks to score some points with some ground and pound. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bresner wants to get back to full guard. Abraham trying to control the pace. Abraham looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bresner with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Amr Abraham dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Abraham landing strikes from the mount and Bresner is in trouble! Bresner is breathing heavily. Abraham cracks Bresner with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee warns Bresner that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Abraham tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Abraham postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bresner looks a forlorn figure.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Abraham lands a nice shot to the head. Abraham controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Abraham landing strikes, looking to finish! Abraham breaks from Bresner's wrist control and lands an elbow. Abraham landing punches. Bresner is bucking up trying to escape but Abraham cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Abraham raining down shots from the mount! Abraham connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Abraham controlling from the full mount. Abraham has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Abraham's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Amr Abraham dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Abraham looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Amr Abraham just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Abraham fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bresner avoids it really well and circles away. Horrible takedown by Abraham or perhaps it was just good defense by Bresner which made him look bad. Abraham shoots for a double leg takedown but Bresner sprawls well. He's pushed Abraham's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Amr Abraham. That's going to take a lot out of him. Abraham drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Abraham controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Abraham has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Bresner to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Abraham is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Bresner pulls down on the head and he's put Abraham to sleep! This one is all over!
