Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, JACK CRACK KANGAROO!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Edson Gomes and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Araujo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. KANGAROO sees it coming and avoids it easily.
KANGAROO slips under a jab.
KANGAROO steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Araujo.
Araujo throws a big shot that misses.

Araujo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Araujo lands in his opponent's guard.

Araujo gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Araujo shoots for a double leg takedown but KANGAROO sprawls well. He's pushed Araujo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Araujo leaves KANGAROO with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

KANGAROO wants to clinch up but Araujo keeps it at a distance.

The fight stays on the outside here - KANGAROO looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Araujo lands a nice short elbow.

Araujo decides to return to a standing position.
Araujo throws a right and a left that KANGAROO avoids nicely.
KANGAROO shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Araujo but Araujo pushes him off and we're back to square one.
KANGAROO slips under a jab.
Araujo is really struggling to find his range with his punches. KANGAROO's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
KANGAROO shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Araujo sprawls well. Araujo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. KANGAROO gets slowly back to his feet.
Araujo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

KANGAROO tries to clinch there but Araujo circles away.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


KANGAROO stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and KANGAROO wants it to stay on the feet.

KANGAROO is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Araujo postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. KANGAROO looks a forlorn figure.

KANGAROO is in a horrible position here. Araujo smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
KANGAROO wants to hold on but Araujo pushes him away.

KANGAROO is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Araujo throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
KANGAROO tries to lock up and control but Araujo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
KANGAROO is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Araujo is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. KANGAROO is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. KANGAROO flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Araujo anticipates the leg and manages to get behind KANGAROO and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Araujo slips an arm under KANGAROO chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Araujo has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Araujo is squeezing on KANGAROO like an anaconda would it's prey. KANGAROO fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jeff Araujo!
